Usability testing is a technique used to evaluate website by testing it on users. It gives direct input on how real users use the system, or in other words, customer experience.

Customer experience in analytic includes everything that comprises a user’s experience on a Web site; How users feel about the site and the impressions they get from it, whether they can successfully use the site or become frustrated, and the extent to which they encounter technical problems or confusing areas of the site.

What can Usability testing do?

Usability testing fills the customer experience gap by enabling you to observe real customers as they interact with your site. With usability testing, you can explore thoughts, feelings, and expressions with individual customers, in-depth and in person.

The aim is to observe people browsing the website to discover errors and areas of improvement. Usability testing generally involves measuring how well test subjects respond in four areas: efficiency, accuracy, recall, and emotional response. The results of the first test can be treated as a baseline or control measurement.

Beehive Strategy have experience conducting the usability testing through CrazyEgg, a tool providing confetti andfeatures, to test visitor behavior.
