Multivariate testing is a more complex test than A/B testing.  The multivariate test allows you to test multiple page variables simultaneously.

Different from A/B testing, multivariate testing allows you to test endless variable combinations. It just need to consider the amount of time required to gain sufficient so that a useful conclusion can be drawn. The amount of time depends on the numbers of components, the more components added, the longer time it takes to complete the test.

In the test, you can select different elements on your website such as title, content and ads. Different versions of selected elements are created and combined. Then you split your traffic amongst those combinations to analyze which one gets maximum conversion or sales. The winning combination of the website is later chosen to be implemented.
