30 Jan Google Analytics Update for Mobile App Analytics
In March 2014, Google announced new features for its mobile ad platform AdMob at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. The new features are powered by Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
Since Google Analytics is fully available in the AdMob, rather than having to access AdMob and Analytics from separate interfaces, app developers can now get performance reporting from the AdMob home screen and a new Analyze tab right within AdMob.
Later in November, Google also launched newest Analytics Academy course, Mobile App Analytics Fundamentals. This is a great resource for all AdMob publishers who want to learn more about how to use Google Analytics in AdMob.
More than just Google Analytics inside AdMob, we also benefit from a new set of features that make measurement the foundation of all monetization programs:
- Drop down menu to switch between individual apps reports
- New home page with combined Google Analytics and AdMob reporting
- New Analyze tab with all Google Analytics reports
The home screen features a combination of reporting from both platforms and provides a snapshot of conversion and monetization performance, including from in-app purchases.
